For people who have taken the test, anyone have a list of things they were trying not to forget to do?

Things like obtaining early IV access, counseling the patient, reassurance

For whatever it's worth (and you started a good list), as a primary care physician you have to approach the patient like a "tabula rasa". You are it. All the nursing functions that are usually done for you, are now done by you. Be systematic in the approach: First ascertain if it is a life threatening situation or not. Then no exam, but straight to ABCs. Then start, as you already cited, with IV access, fluids, oxygen, elevate head of bed, BP monitor, cardiac monitor, pulse ox, +/- ABGs. Just like the CS keep it systematic and then you won't forget the easy stuff. Also, remember the location of the patient. If he's home if you need studies urgently you need to first change location.

Yes, I know, these things are obvious, but in a test situation, a lot is easily overlooked. In life, of course, you wouldn't.

Best,

Nu
