You spelled it wrong. It's Adderall. It's used for ADHD.:)

Adderoll is a nice twist on the standard spring roll. Has a little bite to it, but it's fairly smooth going down.

Plus all the cool kids are doing it, it's ridiculously easy to get a script for it from campus doctors.

not to be a jerk...but you've been accepted to pharmacy school and plan on pursuing a career in pharmacy and you don't know what adderall is?!

do you know what vicodin is at least?

by the way it's medication used to treat ADD. people pop these pills to help them study.

It's an amphetamine (not narcotic) and don't worry that you don't know what it is. Not eveyone comes into this career with direct pharmacy experience, which is a good thing or this field would just be full of nerds. Why are they joking about getting your script now? Think what speed does for people, then see how similar this drug is to meth.

I didn't know what Adderall was when I was a Pre-Pharmacy student.

If you didn't work in a pharmacy/medical facility before you were accepted into pharmacy school, you would know nothing or very little about pharmacodynamics or theraputics.

However, I would bet new2pharm could explain to you anything you wanted to know about physiology, human anatomy, organic chemistry, or biology. These are the subjects I would expect a pre-pharmacy student to know.

Now, as a pre-pharmacy student, I wouldn't have posted "What is Adderoll?" on a public pharmacy forum.

new2pharm, I would suggest using www.medlineplus.com (or any other of the many online drug references) if you have this kind of question in the future.

kthanksbye.

spelling errors also bother pharmacists

i hate it when people spell it as "Vicoden"

Really. I know it is not a narcotic per se. I was just telling the OP it would be wise to know the hardcore narcotics at least.

It actually is a 75:25 ratio of dextro and levo isomers of amphetamine to be exact. :D

I was trying not to be too much of an a$$ but ... I can be.

Choice is yours.

That's what you say when you want another roll at Piccadilly... "add e roll, please"

What are you talking about? I think you read into my post too much. You probably thought I was talking to or correcting you, but I was talking to the OP so he/she wouldn't get confused by your post. Anyway, I certainly don't think you're an a$$.

Cool deal!!

No worries, then!

Time to "add e roll" my day!!

It's a drug in search of an indication. (Sorry had a lecture in ADHD last week without a hint of the controversial nature of the diagnosis.)

Is an Adderoll anything like a Rickroll?

Maybe it's just sarcasm, sure, but I guess I'm just curious now. I'm curious whether anyone's come across such abuse in their Pharm classes/knows anyone taking Adderall without actually having a diagnosed condition (ie: just to enhance their concentration). I can't imagine the possibilities and lengths that such usage might allow non-ADD/ADHD students to get a leg up in their classes over other classmates, and uy... that's not even trying to consider the ethical ramifications...
:(

I've filled a bunch this semester at the pharmacy closest to campus. Do I think ADHD/ADD kids can get into nursing/pharmacy/med/etc? Yes. Do I think they can get in at the rate scripts are being generated? No. Can I prove that they are using them solely to get a leg up on studying? No. But at a certain point it becomes blatantly obvious that students are using it to help especially during blocks.

That being said I also get to fill large quantities of antidepressants and antianxiety drugs. It's my assumption that students are simply testing the goods as it were before they actually prescribe such pills. Me I prefer high doses of caffiene PO QID.

whatver...I don't care what anybody says... don't care if u call me an a$$.....if you've been accepted to pharm school, and you never heard about adderall somehow, being that it's even socially well know among undergraduates or college students in general, then you definitely had no zeal or interest in the pharmacy profession. At least to express curiosity...wikipedia social drugs or do something!!. I know that's what you are doing now, but your timing is off. Sorry, I am actually trying to point out that your reason for getting into the profession is obvious....to some extent....or at least not one of the nicely expected ones....

Why should the OP know what adderall is they have never been exposed to it? If i were in the process of applying to pharmacy school and wanted to get a grip on the profession I wouldn't be looking up "social drugs". I would be looking at what has been going on in the profession lately. And where everyone thinks the profession is going. And areas you could get into with a pharmD. Yes Adderall is a socially well known drug but if you happen to have never been exposed to it then how are you to know its not just some additive that starbucks is in putting in their coffee that all the pre-meds like to sip on right before the MCATs? Its not like Lipitor and Viagra where there is a commercial advertising it every 19 seconds.

Yeah...you are an a$$. I didn't know what Adderall was before I started pharmacy school. I worked in the hospital pharmacy and was never exposed to it. If it's socially well known among undergrads and college students, then maybe you are hanging out with the wrong crowd.

Yeah..like I said..I expected the "you are an a$$" part, but you working at a hospital pharmacy makes you no better. You should know some of that outpatient formulary and if you were zealous enough to know you would have known what adderral is. I guess you didn't know what marijuana was either, since you were hanging out with the good crowd.
