What if you get into an avg school and land an awesome residency- does it matter?

Like, if someone goes to a lower tier school and then lands a spectacular competitive residency. Will the school play at a disad. at all, or is it all level fields after that? I've heard the residency is the most important thing?

no. its like you're "permenant record" in elementary school. No one cares.

The only thing that matters to a future school/employer is the quality of your education immediately preceding entry into the next level.

Thus, no it doesnt matter: fellowship > residency > medical school > college > high school
