What clerkships need to be taken before taking STEP 2?

Title sums it up. I've been searching the web and I can't seem to find a concrete answer. For example, you need to take all of a medical school's curriculum but I wondered if there were certain clerkships you had to take before step 2. Thank you and have a nice day.

Look in your program's student handbook. That is the only place you will find a definitive answer for this.

You want to have done IM, Peds, surgery, OB, psych.

Clerkships can help solidify some stuff you learn in uworld. I found this especially true for OB. But the most important part is nailing down everything in uworld and whatever the Anki deck for clerkships is now. You could do well on step 2 without completing any rotations.

Highly recommend taking internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, and ob/gyn prior to taking Step 2. Psych and neuro would also be great.
