Hello SDNers,

I was wondering if you guys could help me generate a school list for the upcoming cycle. I'm having a hard gauging what I should be looking at since I'm a reapplicant

Here are my stats:
1. UIUC engineering masters - cGPA 3.94, sGPA 3.99
2. MCAT - 33, will take new one in June. Planning on verifying early and submitting apps when I get new score
3. 5 years of research, MIT, WUSTL, masters. Many hours, maybe 800 hrs +
4. Volunteering at same hospital ~200 hours
5. Shadow peds ~40 hours
6. Youth group involvement ~300 hours
7. TA engineering courses
8. Youth group involvement, community service, community based projects

1. Where did you apply?
2. Did you get any interviews?
3. Your stats look decent for a MSTP applicant, so I'm wondering why you're switching from MSTP -> MD?
4. What was your MCAT breakdown?

Hello, thanks for replying!

I applied to various top 20 schools for mstp
2. I interviewed at wustl, baylor, emory, urochester
3. I think its two reasons: I've been shadowing and I really enjoy the idea of physician patient interaction. I finished a masters and spending hours upon hours in the lab, I realized I enjoyed people interaction moreso than pursuing projects (it's not to say that the route of MSTP isn't noble by any means.)
4. I took the old mcat so I got bs:12, ps:12, v: 9 - I unfortunately had to cram the studies in like three weeks
