Hello! I'm new to SDN, but I just wanted to make a post and it would be extremely helpful to have someone look this over and give me recs on schools and also how to improve my application.

Residence: VA
sGPA: 3.6
MCAT: 521
Research: about 200 hours for 2 projects
Clinical: EMT, 100+ volunteer and shadowing hours, volunteering at suicide hotline, planned parenthood volunteer, volunteer at senior home
Leadership: American cancer society ambassador, education chair for cancer club, founder of organization that aims to provide clean water to kids in Uganda
Clubs: writer for school newspaper, UNICEF, academic tutor to kids downtown improving literacy, club rowing, asian student association, relay for life
Awards: nothing serious, dean's list

Not sure if it helps but at a top10 public university. My goal was to be in NYC (mount sinai, columbia) but I know those are definitely a reach, just wanted someone else's input to help compile a list and possibly chance me.

Your stats are great and overall application is good.

If you want to aim for NYC schools, some more productive research will help.
