Hi everyone, not sure if I should get a masters of biomedical sciences or work for a year or both... thinking about AmeriCorps or medical scribe but I'm not sure
Thinking of DO schools instead due to low sGPA
sGPA 3.4, cGPA 3.6, MCAT: Have not taken
Major: Nutrition
Work:
Medical Interpreter: 300 hours
Research assistant: Two years and one summer (poster presentation in three conferences)
Sell artwork, (have presented artwork in three exhibitions and was guest speaker for high school art class)
Volunteer:
GCA intern to talk about Affordable Care Act and get people insured, recruit volunteers: 1 year
Clinic Volunteer (three different clinics): 400 hours
Tutor 2nd graders: 256 hours
Anatomy tutor: 64 hours
Community Service Coordinator for organization: one year
Other volunteer projects: 100 hours
Shadowing in South Africa (various departments) and Mexico (pediatrics): 100 hours (none in US though)
