What does your average week look like? How often do you take call, and how you do deal with call later in life?

Gen cards. M-F, AM/PM clinic. Before/after clinic or during lunch; notes, paperwork, phonecalls, read echos, see inpatient, etc. TEEs and procedures scheduled whenever. Call average 1x/wk, 1 weekend every 2mo. I'm consultant and primary team does a good job of handling things. Call is not bad. It's also a smaller hospital with good patient population, which helps. I'm not sure how I'll feel about call later but right now it's fine.

gen cards:
1 day off per week, every week.
10 day weekday call cycle. inpatient call =7am-7am. field new consults, see old consults, procedures (TEE, DCCV, cath), read echos, do stress tests.
outpatient = rotation of 2-2.5 days clinic per week, 1-2 0.5 days stress testing, echo, ekg reading, 0.5 days imaging, 0.5 days procedures
