Hello,

The Cedar Sinai Spine Center in Los Angeles, California is currently accepting applicants for a research assistant position for those interested in research in Neurosurgery or Orthopedic Surgery.

Through my experience in the program, I was able to publish abstracts/manuscripts/posters relating to robotic spine surgery, human factors research in the OR, effects of depression on patient outcome, and unique case reports.

I also was able to introduce myself to the Cedar-Sinai Neurosurgery Residents and attendings, met with the department head and program director to offer advice and guidance for my upcoming match in neurosurgery and received several influential letters of recommendation.

I highly recommend the program as you will work directly under Dr. Patrick Johnson and Dr. Terrence Kim the directors of the spinal fellowship at Cedar Sinai, get a firm understanding of clinical and research requirements in one of the nation’s leading spinal surgery programs, and gain access to some of the latest technology in spine surgery.

Eligibility:

· Those who have failed to match residency in Neurosurgery/Orthopedic surgery looking for a research year.

· Medical Students (preferably finished with a surgical rotation) looking to take a research year.
