Underrepresented minority: 1st generation US citizen
1000+ hours of research, 1 pub (4th author)
300+ volunteering/clinical experiences
NIH grant recipient for NIH fellowship during gap year

Where is your state of residence? Which minority group do you belong to? Do you have any physician shadowing hours?
 
Im an ohio resident
Nigerian
and i shadowed a neurosurgeon for 50 hours
miscellaneous specialties for ~80 more hours

What makes you qualified to give recommendations? We don’t need the blind leading the blind. I appreciate your willingness to help, but please refrain from posting on the WAMC thread if you lack credibility and authority. That said, I’m sure OP is smart enough to vary sources of counsel so there is no real harm done.

Know your place and please do not pollute this WAMC forum.

Edit: if you consulted MSAR, then just recommend signing up for MSAR.

Faha has a great list! I would also throw in U of Miami. I had your exact stats (no retake) and did very well this cycle! Ivys may be a stretch IMO except for Dartmouth, and I think you have a great shot at Dartmouth, since I was lucky enough to get in there. However, I am ORM, so your URM status may even boost you into the tougher Ivy schools! I say it is worth a shot. Best of luck :)
