Title: UTHealth- School of Dentistry: Houston vs. Woody L. Hunt School of Dental Medicine: El Paso (IS)

Post:

School 1: Houston

* IS

Pros:

  • Affordable
  • In Houston
  • Great staff & professors
  • Students say it really is a family feel there
Cons:

  • Labs & libraries not open late
  • No Spanish integration in the ciriculum
School 2: El Paso

* IS

Pros:

  • Beautiful school with all new equipment
  • Treat patients in first year
  • Huge new patient bank
  • Pass/Fail grading system
  • Spanish integrated into the curriculum (I wish to improve my Spanish and become fluent)
Cons:

  • Located in El Paso Texas
  • School has yet to have a graduating class/ still in experimental stages

Summary: Both schools come out to be about the same with their tuition and fees. Should I go to a good dental school in a great thriving city like Houston, or go to a new great school in a much smaller city.
