USMLE transcript

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Mine is not uploaded yet, many program have downlowded my app without the transcript , what will happen ?

holy **** sdners are neurotic. I assume nothing will happen until NBME transmits your transcript over then they'll take a look.

It takes time for programs to download the apps, so I guess some programs just decided to get started. I doubt anyone's seriously reviewing the apps or giving interview invites before they get USMLE transcripts.

has anyone elses transcript still not been uploaded

been over 20 hrs for me

My transcript was uploaded yesterday. Maybe it takes a few days to get through all of them.

Thanks for t he reply. I thought they would go through them in order I subbed like 10 mins after it opened. I feel like there wasn't even a point in doing it early

I had 7 programs download my app shortly after I submitted it. the USMLE transcript didn't show up til pretty late last night (close to midnight), but 2 of those programs have already refreshed (?) and retrieved it

Is anyone else still waiting for their transcript to be UPloaded?

yup

I wish we could click on School Transcript, USMLE Transcript and photo to make sure there are no mistakes... As it is, you never know if they are somehow wrong.

It can take 1-2 days for the USMLE transcript to upload. Whether it uploads on 9/15 or 9/17 will make absolutely no difference in your application.

What?! Outrageous! I don't beleive you! I know they decide interviews on a Sunday after release. I heard from my classmate that her friend's cousin got 6 interview invites already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can tell I'm super serious by my emphatic punctuation.

I understand your concern. I've already filled all my interview slots. Once we get your USMLE's, we'll consider offering you a position on our waitlist.

(Before someone freaks out, I am kidding!)

photo proof. or don't believe it.

What time did you submit in the morning?

11am.

I'm taking this app retrieval process with a grain of salt, lol...it's not even Monday. FWIW, another program downloaded all of my application materials this morning...except for my USMLE transcript despite it being available. have no idea what that means but I won't read much into it for now

do you mind explaining to us what the MSPE not being available until 10/1 does? Will interview invitations typically be delayed until the MSPE is available?

I like your style.

I second this. I have been racking my brain trying to figure out how programs are viewing this change. One way to look at it is "well the ERAS opened two weeks later than usual so let's go ahead and move quickly on interview offers." The other way is "well the Dean's letter is coming out only two weeks after ERAS now so we might as well wait the two weeks and have the Dean's letter part of consideration for interview offers." I'm curious about how interviews will change (i.e. starting in middle October rather than November for some programs).

I guess if I was a PD I would just wait the 2 weeks and see what the Deans letter states so that I have all the informatio at my fingertips. It is only 2 weeks afterall.

I don't get what is so important about the Dean's Letter. It has 3rd year grades but those are already in since they are uploaded through the transcript. I don't know about other schools' but ours is not a Letter of Recommendation in that it doesn't extoll on applicants' virtues, it's more of a biographical letter.
Is there something I'm missing?

Ours has all of the comments from your clinical rotations, which I guess might be important. It also gives your shelf exam scores and how it compares to the rest of the class.

Oh that's true, ours has 3rd year evaluation comments. We don't have a class rank, and I didn't see shelf scores... I guess evaluations might help with a more rounded view of applicant.

Rank and any disciplinary actions that the school may have taken during your training. I imagine those are important to PDs. Also, clinical rotation comments. Though, every school does this stuff differently, so I am sure it is bloody confusing for PDs.

My school asks us before they write the dean's letter about accomplishments, special awards, research, etc that they would like us to discuss. Ends up being 1 page bio (also includes rank/percentile, usmle scores, aoa consideration, etc) + clinical rotation grades and comments.

I'm sure if there is something abnormal (i.e. LOA, academic difficulties) they would discuss that as well.

This. I've heard at least one PD say that he greatly values the comments from the clinical rotations. At the same time, other people have told me that PDs told them that they just scroll down to the last paragraph to see what the rank was. So obviously it's program-dependent.

It'll be interesting. In the past when apps went out on 9/1 and the MSPE didn't come out until November, some specialties didn't want to wait two months to hand out interviews. But now that the delay is only going to be about 2 weeks... maybe it's worth waiting to find out if the MSPE has any skeletons in it. Idunno, I guess we'll see, and again it'll probably be specialty and program-dependent.

Based on all the same data that you guys are using (which is to say, absolutely none, since this is the first time this schedule has been used), I anticipate near radio silence (with a few exceptions) for the next two weeks, followed by an absolute orgy of invites the first 2-3 weeks of October and (to keep the porn theme going) a month or so of sloppy seconds through mid-December.

Applied a few minutes after 9 AM (ET) yesterday, USMLE still not uploaded. Anyone else still waiting? Yes I am neurotic. Deal with it.

I appreciate the porn references  and I also expect that we will hear nothing for the next two weeks, which is terribly angst-inducing, though I will hopefully get over my refreshing every half hour addiction... maybe...

I'm in the same boat. I admit that it is neurotic to be worried about this but it is sort of frustrating if some people have the transcript and others don't despite presumably applying "earlier." Hopefully the transcript will be available tomorrow.

Just a hunch, but I think the people who's USMLE transcript has been uploaded may be applying using ECFMG as their deans office. The only person I know in real life whose USMLE is loaded is an IMG, but all the US students I know are still waiting.

No one I know, including myself, have had their usmle uploaded. Just another few data points.

one more data point or two i guess.... USIMG here + another USIMG, both our USMLE transcripts are up since this morning and already downloaded by some programs.

Its alright, although the irony of working hard on an application for months so that it could be submitted first thing and be done with, only to have to wait days for it to actually be complete is slightly irritating.

Mine still hasn't uploaded either

Haha, so much truth to this.

and to add salt to our wounds, even though we paid a substantial amount for this USMLE transcript, we cannot even see it !!!!! Ugh.... so tired of this money draining system... when will it end? Bleah...

hm, any one else get this email Friday night? got it from ECFMG:

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT USMLE TRANSCRIPTS in MYERAS:

Once you assign your USMLE transcript to programs and apply it will take up to 48 hours for the request to be processed and the USMLE transcript made available in the MyERAS PostOffice. The 48 hour process time is regardless of when you initially requested the release in the USMLE transcript tab of MyERAS. This is a standard processing time*.

ERAS - 1, the rest of us - 0

True, and this has been evidenced by previous years threads. However, why would people who applied Saturday afternoon have theirs uploaded while those who applied earlier in the morning are still waiting. Long term it won't matter at all, but still a little frustrating.

yeah, I can't imagine it's fun. I'm sorry if I seemed to minimize your frustration. I'm a USIMG so my transcript came through ECFMG..not sure if that makes a difference. here's hoping you see a change Monday :)

My USMLE Transcript was uploaded a 1:11 pm today. I submitted my app at 9:05 am on Saturday. Retrieved by two programs so far.

Submitted a few minutes after that, and mine was uploaded a few minutes after yours :) Glad to know its complete!

Am I missing something? Is there a way to tell whether the usmle transcript has been uploaded to the post office other than seeing via adts whether programs have retrieved it?

Are you all US students? I know some IMGs said their's were loading over the weekend. Just wondering if I should keep compulsively checking...

It's down in the "other documents" section in adts. An yes, I am a US student, seems like they are working on us today.

Got it. Thanks. I'm a US student, submitted Saturday at noon. My usmle transcript isn't up yet either.
