I apologize if these have been posted, but I did could not find them. US News dropped a few stories yesterday regarding surgical care in the military:

https://www.usnews.com/news/health-...ents-sap-military-surgeons-skills-proficiency

https://www.usnews.com/news/nationa...military-surgeons-skills-preparedness-for-war

https://www.usnews.com/news/health-...9/maj-monique-hassans-life-as-an-army-surgeon

I will say that the NSQIP data I have seen from our facility really isn't bad. The concerns mentioned here are very real, though, and commonly cited by surgeons that leave the military.

Will this potentially prompt any change? I'm not holding my breath.
