updating AOA status after eras submission

If one is lucky enough to be elected to AOA after submission of their application to ERAS, what is the best way to notify schools of this important change since we cannot update our file? Any ideas?

If one is lucky enough to be elected to AOA after submission of their application to ERAS, what is the best way to notify schools of this important change since we cannot update our file? Any ideas?

I believe you can make changes to your PROFILE (but not the other sections) after submission. When your profile is updated, programs are notified.

I have heard that many programs really do not check up on your app once they download it so you may want to email them with an update.

If you were elected AOA, chances are your transcript and letters will reflect the reasons why you were elected into AOA, which means that notifying programs will probably not increase your chances of interviewing since you are qualified for an interview to begin with. Therefore, you could just wait to discuss it in the interview.
