There's a studio apartment that's going to become available in the building I live in and I thought I'd give you guys a chance at getting a spot close to school. I live on the corner of California and Webster. It is literally a block away from school... I can't emphasis how convenient it is to live close to school during your first year. Plus the place is next to Fillmore St, restaurants, market, nightlife, etc.
The building is pretty nice and clean, super warm heating system, no complaints after a year.... water, garbage, sewer incl. Pretty nice sized studios, with big windows, walk in closet. Renter pays for pge, cable, etc.
I don't know the final price, but expect it to be around $1250. That's definitely not set in stone. Check craigslist.com for comps for pacific heights... it's worth it.
