The University of Minnesota Pain Medicine Fellowship has openings available for the upcoming 2015-2016 year.
Fellowship description:
One of only a handful of centers to win the American Pain Societies' Center of Excellence award twice, this fellowship offers training focused on multi-disciplinary pain medicine with training consisting of a balance of inpatient, outpatient, and interventional procedural techniques. Didactics:
A programmatic didactic schedule is held on a bi-weekly basis with journal club held bi-monthly.
CME:
A stipend is available to attend courses or conferences during the year.
Procedures taught:
All basic fluoroscopic injections (epidurals, medial branch blocks, SI joint, hips, shoulders, etc.) Radiofrequency ablations, sympathetic blocks, spinal cord stimulators, intra-thecal pumps, Botox, acupuncture, trigger points, and more.
Accreditation:
This fellowship is accredited by the ACGME.
Application:
Physicians who have successfully completed a clinical American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) residency in anesthesiology, neurology, physical medicine and rehabilitation or psychiatry AND those who are board-eligible or board-certified in their specialty are welcome to apply for this fellowship.
