Hey gang!

I had a question for those at UNC. I had heard that to receive credit for various procedures, the patient must have paid. Is this true?

For example, if I complete a denture for a patient and they do not pay, I was told that I would not recieve credit for that procedure!! Are students in clinic responsible for collecting payment from patients??

Someone wanna help clear this up for me??

Thanks and see you in a few months!!!

Woo hoo

It's true, but it's not as bad as you think. It's not like you have to chase them down and beg for money. Most patients are good about it and do pay. For those who don't, they are booted out of the system, and will not be allowed back in. So yes, it can happen and does. But fortunately for larger cases, like crowns, you collect half the payment up front so patients will see it through. If you lose an amalgam or two, it's not as big of a deal.

Beautiful, that makes me feel a little bit better! Thanks!
See you in the August everybody!
