UCLA Extension:pre-medicine & gen. science certificate

After being rejected by every post-bacc. program, I sucked it up and applied to the UCLA extension program. They don't really offer a lot of info on their website. It's like, 'here's the courses, follow the guidelines and you'll be cool.' In other words, you are on your own. I don't mind this; it's just that when it comes to applying to medical schools I am concerned about finding adequate lors or comm. letters. Does anyone currently in med school or know anyone who is, go through this program for their prereqs? Can you tell me your experiences?
