SIR RFS Webinar: Anticoagulation for treatment of deep venous thrombosis (DVT) in end stage renal disease (ESRD) patients

There talk will discuss treatment options for venous thromboembolism in patients on hemodialysis. We will review the evidence for the use of low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) as a treatment for deep venous thrombosis in ESRD patients on hemodialysis, review therapeutic monitoring for LMWH, and explore other options beyond IV heparin for treatment of venous thromboembolism. Newer oral anticoagulant in CKD/ESRD will be discussed.
