If someone's sexual partner tested positive for Gonnorhea, would you treat them for Gonnorhea and Chlamydia or just Gonnorrhea? I've had that question on my last 2 exams so I would like to know the answer in case I get asked it again.

Since chlamydia is more common than gonorrhea, and the chances of the patient having both STDs is quite high, it is worth treating for both at the same time.

Suprax or Cipro for gonorrhea; azithromax for chlamydia. Both are 1 time PO meds that should be taken with you watching to ensure compliance.

Answer is to treat both.
