It depends on lots of factors. In some schools, the ADCOM meets every two weeks and sorts the latest crop into three categories - invite for interview, keep around for later review, and reject. You may be seen early on, but the ADCOM may make their decision after several review cycles.
You can ask for updates, but with all of the applicants wondering how they did, the admissions offices will often tell you to simply wait. It's a long wait, and that's one of the worst parts of this process. If it makes you feel any better, I know exactly what you're going through - I went through it three times.
