I wrote some posts about doing law for the person who didn't know what to do. In doing so, I remember the following....
Client: How much do you charge?
Lawyer: I'll charge you $200 for 3 questions.
Client: That much! That's crazy! How can you live with yourself?
Lawyer: You have one more question, $200 please..
NASA is planning a Mars launch. With current technology, an astronaut can travel there but can't come back...
Engineer: I do it for America. The only thing I ask is $1M for my family.
Doctor: My time is valuable. I need $2M. I'll give some of it to charity for medical research.
Lawyer: My fee is $3M
NASA: Why, Mr. Lawyer, should we pay you $3M?
Lawyer: Haven't you heard of contingency fees? I'll take $1M, you will get $1M, and will send the engineer!
