Maybe I’m overthinking this, but in my recent II, I wasn’t asked why medicine but why DO. I specifically focused on my experiences shadowing and working with DOs but didn’t mention my why med in it (a family member in the hospital inspired my journey into medicine). Are these questions the same thing? Kinda worried I didn’t delve into my why med which is my PS

It seems that 'Why DO' is a pretty common question for DO schools to ask in interviews. Makes sense as institutions do view osteopathic medicine as a unique addition to their program compared to just wanting to do medicine in general. From my experience this cycle and what I've read on the forum, a good answer tends to answer 'why medicine' while connecting it to tenants of DO philosophy.
