Temple (IS) vs VCU (OOS)

School 1: Temple
IS
Pros:

• Cheaper tuition
• closer to family and friends
• my boyfriend is staying in Pennsylvania to finish his schooling

Cons:

• safety- north Philly is rough
• expensive area to live in
• bad weather

School 2: VCU
OOS
Pros:

• really like the program
• early exposure to clinical
• felt like i fit in well
• better weather

Cons:

• more expensive
• I wont know anyone

I would do Temple based on what you said. Family, bf, and less expensive. I'm sure you would be able to make friends at either school. I have heard good things about VCU. Don't know anything about Temple though other than that they have a post-bacc program haha

How much less expensive would it be for you to go to Temple? Including cost of living.

Go to temple, you're going to want your family and BF close to you since dental school isn't easy, and having your family and bf closer to you will certainly help your mental health. Cheaper tuition is also a plus
