I am open to suggestions on how to boost my credentials...
As a Cell/Molecular biology major, I earned mostly As in my pre-med couses but
struggled with my jr/sr classes. I graduated (in 3years) with 3.0 GPA from a
competitive university. Should I retake some of the classes that I had trouble with?
What are some recomended 'extra' classes?

Presently, I am studying very hard for the MCAT. I know this will be a deciding factor
for admission because of my GPA. Would a high score on the MCAT take the place of
GPA?

The MCAT won't take the place of your gpa, but having a lower gpa does make the
MCAT more important the admissions committee might take a closer look at your
scores.
Take a couple practice MCATs. If you scores are high, you may not need to repeat
those courses.

Let me know how things turn out and good luck!
