SUNY Letters of Rec

For SUNY, I know there is a requirement of two science professor recs, an optometrist rec, and one from a prehealth committee.

For the science professors, would a letter from my Orgo lab professor count? I'm not very close with my lecture professor even though I visited his office hours multiple times. He's not exactly the most friendly guy..

Well, I don't see why not... I'd have him reference your performance in the classroom + lab, without maybe specifically saying he's just the lab professor. Careful omission ;-) Only if he's comfortable with it though.

I'd maybe ask the schools anonymously, stress how significant orgo lab is etc
