Based on a discussion over at the "UC Davis" thread, I thought I'd invite current residents, fellows, and attendings to comment on programs they think are frequently overlooked or underappreciated by applicants who are blinded by big-name glitz.

Applicants who are starting their interviews may benefit from learning more about programs that they otherwise would take for granted.

Some programs listed in the "UC Davis" thread:

UC Davis -- Reasons listed already over there in other thread
Henry Ford -- Reasons listed already over there in other thread

Pitt: very well-rounded. Very strong clinically.

UMich: While already recognized as very good to great, I think Michigan is really a top 5 program at the very least. They have the excellent clinical, research, and uniquely, Cosmetics for residents. Extremely well-rounded. I don't think anyone could make great arguments against the statement that "it is possibly THE best residency training program in the country." (and no, I don't go to UMich)
