Does anyone know about Sofitel hotel in houston. I heard its the closest to the center... Anyone stayed there? any comments??

I did my CS exam in Houston. From the actual testing center room, I could see the Hotel Sofitel from the window. It is directly across the street. If you want close, you can't really get much closer than that.

I am also taking my exam in Houston. Can someone tell me how far the center is from Bush Airport? Is the area around the center pretty decent with plenty of places to eat, etc?

sofitel is close. i stayed at amerisuites which is also close. there are not many places to eat within walking distance, but the hotels will shuttle you around the area

By car, the testing center is about 15 min west of the airport (IAH). If you're flying into Hobby (HOU), then it'll be quite a bit further (like 30 min - 1hr) depending on traffic.
