I recently got an email about financial aid for the school and it seems I need to cover the gap of around 5 grand.

Do any of you guys have any experience in applying for the Smart Option loans?

I'm still looking up what do about it because my credit is only 600. I have 5k saved up but I would rather take a loan out and I assume I need to have 5k every term.

I had to do Direct Loans and use Sallie Mae to make up the difference. I also needed a co-signor for the Sallie Mae loans but I got a great interest rate.
