Hi All! I’m beginning my 3rd year of PT school and have 2 clinical rotations left. I want to pursue sports medicine but with our limited options for rotation settings, it does not look like I will be able to obtain experience through my school education. I would love to find opportunities to be involved in sports medicine PT that could potentially double to fulfill prerequisites for a residency program as well as applying for jobs with a sports medicine clinic. I’ve participated as a volunteer for the Chicago Marathon as a sweeper but I’d love to do more PT specific activities. Does anyone have any suggestions for where to find these in the Chicagoland area? Ive searched and many that I have found are pre-PT opportunities for PT applications.
