The article makes no mention of any settlement, besides the one Marks received for the civil right's lawsuit against the city of Spokane...

I don't think this has to do with malpractic.e.. but i skimmed quickly...

The lawsuit was against the city for an illegal raid they did on the patients home. The patient simply had a heart attack in the dental chair and the involvement of the dentist in the whole story ends there.
