I am a pre-med student, and I need to give a speech on my inspiration for pursuing a career in medicine. One of my sources for the speech needs to be an interview.
My question is...have any of you out there - men or women - heard of Elizabeth Blackwell, the first female physician in the U.S., and been inspired by her story? Or have any of you experienced sexism or discouragement during your medical education and/or career?
Thank you for any responses you can give! I need to show my sources in the next couple weeks.
