specialty programs

can anyone help me understand the difference between oral medicine, oral pathology and oral biology specialty programs regarding accredation by the ADA!

as far as i know, we can apply for licensure in 8 states after any two year specialty..but i am afraid i apply to one that is not considered by the states as ADA accredited .

I think there are a few more than 8 states, but I don't remember right now. In any case, just go to the state that you're intersted website and it might specify which specialties they approve. I just recently read about it in Texas site for example.
