So few African Americans in D.O. School?

Why are there so few African Americans attending and applying to Osteopathic Schools?

There are few AA's in medicine in general, DO schools are probably not prominent in regions with large AA population.

Many AAs and Africans that would be good candidate for DO schools tend to prefer Caribbean med schools.

Just got accepted to a DO school. There are quite a few of use here at my university between the Graduate program and medical school.
