How do you treat Acute Pulmonary Embolism? What are the therapeutic options and what is the role of IR?
Join us for the first ever SIR RFS Resident Debate, moderated by Dr. Akhilesh Sista of Weill Cornell, where we will introduce the topic of acute PE management and debate the role of catheter directed therapy in acute submassive PE.

Dr. Sista is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Weill Cornell Medical College and Assistant Attending Radiologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Campus. He is the Director of the Weill Cornell Vascular Program for Thrombosis and Deep Venous Health located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and specializes in the treatment of acute deep venous disease, chronic venous disease, and pulmonary embolism. He serves on venous thromboembolism guidance committees for the Society of Interventional Radiology and Anticoagulation Forum.
