Well, since we seem to be the minority here, just wanted to give a shout out to my single/"non-breeder"/no desire to have a family RPhs out there on SDN...
For some of us, we view the whole marriage, raising children, etc. thing as imprisonment

What does everyone enjoy doing with time off/not being chained to a family? Acquiring/learning new skills?

Thinking about doing a social experiment wearing a wedding ring...hopefully I'll stop having youngin girls awkwardly staring at me all the time and them stone cold 80+yo silver foxes flirt less with me in person. For funzies....last social experiment was dying hair brown (from blonde)

*So help me God @mentos , we are not here to debate!

I went and totally had too many kids. There is never a dull moment in my home, trust me on that. Yesterday they were playing this song over and over and I just can’t get it out of my head..

I'm married, no children. Will not have children. It's nice. I like being able to just go wherever and whenever I want. Well, before COVID, anyway.

I've been learning Italian for my next trip late this year.

You can just make yourself extremely unattractive(gain weight, never brush teeth, carry around stink, etc.) if you truly want to do a social experiment. You'll find out soon enough if you actually like being alone.

I miss traveling. We used to pop to europe for a long weekend - reservations at Noma? Let’s go!

I'm racking up my leave time during the pandemic. However, I did put in for a week in November. Hoping by then some of the restrictions will have been lifted in Italy.

I sold back PTO for the first time ever this year. Heartbreaking

I'm still in the process of mass accumulation as I'm fairly new to federal service. By the end of the year I'll have enough leave maxed out to take some sick vacations next year when things are back to normal.

Definitely not a DINK, but I’ll chime in... Lady and I would probably be complete and total gym rats. HIIT + protein shakes + those annoying super fit humble brag Instagram posts.

Like I’d be totally ripped and shirtless. All. The. Time.

I dont think I could have kids because I already feel like I barely have any freetime. And I want to retire asap for my own health.

I workout twice a day, have 2 very time consuming hobbies (boardgaming and martial arts (pre-covid)). Working out and martial arts (pre-covid) take up any freetime during the week, and my weekends are packed with full boardgame days. I barely have time to sleep already. I definitely do not want to be legally responsible for someone else who might despise my hobbies and be a forced roommate for many years.

Twice a day?! Daaaaamn.
Not intense workout or anything but I have treadmill and stationary bike I do when I wakeup and then in evening. I usually take notes on new boardgame rulebooks I have or new game I'll be playing that weekend (read through the gallerist rulebook today).
Or just watch a tv show or read a book.

I can't do the gym twice a day. I'm at 8.8% body fat and going that often just seems a little overkill at this point.

Meh, been a little fluffier than usual lately (just lazy with diet). Yeah, can't out train a bad diet and even if diet is on point training (overtraining) often results in "wheel spinning" (no significant progress). I find that training too frequent can also be quite detrimental for staying motivated as well

I think previous poster trains more frequently for sport specific training though (more common in things like MMA, etc. where there is a skill aspect to work on)

I know a 40-something couple who are having baby fever, and the reproductive health doctors in our area have rejected them as patients, one after another. Not because they wouldn't be good parents - I think they would - but assuming she even survived the pregnancy (this is why the infertility specialists won't proceed), they just don't have any money because they're so into SCA events and related things. They also think they're just going to take Junior to these events with them; yeah, good luck with that once the kid's mobile. Just because other people do it doesn't mean you should.

She has PCOS with the commonly-associated diabetes, and several other chronic unrelated health conditions.

Fertility doctors care about their success rate. If statistically, your % is low, you'd have to shower them with money.... That success rate is kind of hard to advertise and get future clients if you are taking in low probability cases.

Having kids in your 40s is not realistic nor desirable and shouldn't be encouraged by society. Those fertility clinics are doing the right thing.

Aside from the promoting fertility part in general

Why not?

This section is self selecting....parents with little kiddies won't have time to be hanging here blathering...

If she was otherwise healthy, I suspect the doctors would be willing to work with them, but she isn't. Maybe her infertility is because Mother Nature knows that parenthood, even via adoption, wouldn't be the right option for them?

You can't have it all sweaty

Only category of people I would be sympathetic to having kids later are physicians.... but you can raise a family while you're in school (won't be easy obviously)

I had a few classes with medical students (M1 and M2). We tended to self-segregate, and the medical-school portion of the room looked like a Lamaze class!
