I'll be taking biochem the spring prior to graduation followed by the MCAT. Should I do separate MCAT specific studying for that class or would "regular" studying for unit exams suffice? Please advise.
Your "regular" studying should suffice, but verify that your course is covering all of the MCAT topics. A better strategy might be to follow along each unit in your class with some MCAT biochem resource, and make sure you're learning the "essentials" for the MCAT. Odds are, your course will cover all MCAT topics and then some.
I took biochem right before the mcat and didn't really study outside of the course. But it could vary from school to school and professor to professor. Check out the aamc topics list and compare it to your notes to be safe.
