I've been writing essays up for schools, and I can't decide if I should mention I'm a reapplicant to schools I didn't apply to before.
Do they need to know?
Is it percieved as a good thing (you are committed and determined...)? Or a bad thing (you weren't competitve before)?

you should definitely mention you are a reapplicant. It shows that you are really dedicated to the field of medicine and are passionate about becoming a physician since you're making a second effort

Yes!!!!...make sure you mention you are reapplying and let adcoms know how you are a better applicant. I think it helped me out a bit last year. However, if there aren't any significant changes in your application from the previous year, then mentioning it probably won't help you much IMO. You need to highlight how you've improved as a reapplicant.
