So, I'm not sure if this is a stupid question, or if it's been discussed here before (I couldn't find it). When you get secondary apps from residency programs to which you applied, is that a good sign? Is it automatic or screened? I know it's not quite like med school apps, where they all get to charge you a bunch of extra money for completing the secondary! So, does it mean I've passed a minimal criteria, or do most programs do it automatically because they hate to trudge through ERAS? Thanks!

FD:confused:

I know at the school i rotated at they give out secondaries to everyone. Hoping 50% will actually fill it out and thus cut down on the already stellar applicant pool or atleast this is what I was told.

The only "secondary" I received was from SIU (and I just copied/pasted from my ERAS). Everyone else just offered interviews.

Ditto. Thus far, on SIU has been requesting secondary applications.

P.S. Are people hearing back from programs for interviews at this point?

Regards.

Baylor has already sent out interview invites.
