Please note: The few names mentioned in this intro have nothing to do with players or roles in this game. They are purely for entertainment purposes. Write-ups in the future will only use names when they have game value...

Once upon a time there was a little girl named Abney. She loved animals soooo much. She had rabbits, and mice, and birds, and cats, and dogs, and horses, and goats, and well, you get the idea. She loved her animals. And she loved to take care of her animals. She loved caring for animals so much that she took to sewing closed the wounds on her bunny rabbit stuffed animals and teddy bears, and once, even her brother who wanted to move out on her

So it is no surprise (especially for those of you who have read a ton of these opening paragraphs in PS statements) that Abney decided she wanted to go to Vet school and become a veterinarian. So she studied hard in high school, got into a great undergrad veterinary science program at SDNU, and was even president of her pre-vet society, arranging lots of cool trips to the pond to look at frogs and such.

Life was a basket of flowers for Abney (which she would feed to the local deer) until one day she had to take the dreaded ORGANIC CHEMISTRY. Abney didn't know what happened. One day she was a star student, and the next, she was struggling to get a C in organic chemistry. Distraught over the effect this single class could have on her entire future, she went and visited her academic adviser. When she mentioned she wanted to go to vet school but was almost failing O-chem, her adviser just laughed in her face. "You can't get into vet school without a 4.0 GPA, 10,000 vet experience hours, a 1590 GRE (this was the old days you know, before the new GRE) and a letter of recommendation from James Herriot," he told her.

Abney was devastated. She hated standardized tests, only had 8,000 vet hours, and her letter of recommendation was from Nicholas Dodman (look him up if you don't know him) who wasn't nearly as famous as Herriot. She started walking home, crying her eyes out when she absent-mindedly walked off the curb, fell down and broke her arm. A kind old lady called an ambulance and she was off to the hospital.

In the ER she met a doctor who, although not as young as the other docs, had a certain allure she couldn't name. "Hi, I am Dr. Alfonzarel, we'll have you fixed up in a minute." Fonz, as his fellow colleagues called him, turned around and started typing into a computer.
"What are you doing?" asked Abney.
"Just responding to a post of one of my colleagues, " he replied.
Abney looked at the screen and saw a big S - D - N on the screen.
"What is SDN?" asked a still sniffling from bawling her eyes out Abney.
"Oh, it is just a network of people who want to go, are attending, or graduated medical programs." he explained.
"Just doctors?"
"Oh, there are other quacks on there like Dentists, and podiatrists, even some crazy chick on there who is in vet school. "
"Vet school?" she inquired timidly.
"yeah, apparently they are really helpful on the pre-vet forum. Not sure why they are so helpful, in pre-allo it's full of sharks, but those vets <shaking head>, they are another breed".

While Abney thought about the info she had just heard, Fonz fixed her arm and told her to follow up with him in a month.

When Abney went home she logged into SDN for the first time and found out that her adviser was wrong. She could still get into vet school struggling in one class, and Dr. Dodman's recommendation might still be ok. Pretty soon she was texting all her pre-vet friends and they started joining SDN as well. And she soon had thousands of posts in a very short time. In fact, the pre-vet forum had exploded with activity, all because of Abney's vast network of multiple messaging friends.

In fact there were lots of cool things on SDN, Gifs, and MEMEs, and emoticon wars, and rants, and raves and even videos.

But this increase in pre-vet activity had not gone unnoticed. The old-timers of SDN were not too happy about this take over by these sweet-acting, innocent girls. Oh no, they were not.

So Time passes and Abney shows back up to her appointment with Dr. Fonz, and this time he doesn't seem quite as chatty as last time. He seems almost ......predatory. He takes a few minutes to consult his phone, casually locks the door and starts to take her history.

Fonz: So you started using SDN
Abney: yes
Fonz: And invited all your friends.
Abney: yes
Fonz: And you girls plan on using it for a long time.
Abney: Oh yes, it will take years to get into school and we need all the help we can get from old-timers like Electrophile and Sumstorm.
Fonz: No chance it is just a passing fad?
Abney: No. We love it there.
Fonz: I see.

Fonz slowly walks away, and his clothes start bursting from his body and he turns into this:

And as he is biting Abney's head off he says: "So you think SDN is all fun and games do you? Do you? No, SDN is full of WOLVES! And we are disguised amongst you.... and we are going to KILL YOU ALL. "

Fonz, casually unlocks the door and walks away. Fonz, being just too cool, has no intention of EVER interacting with those pre-vets in their forum, but he has friends. And he knows how to text. And those friends start to infiltrate the pre-vet forum, act like regular students, or vets, or administrators, or visitors from other forums. Who the heck knows which people are the wolves. And are wolves the only horror that has been unleashed on the pre-vetties? Maybe not even the moderators know the answer to that one!

News of Abney's death (the role not the player by the way) spreads through the forum, and people are scared. This holy sanctuary, this cocoon where everyone's dreams of kittens and puppies and foals is nurtured has turned to a place of horror. The pre-vetties are determined to take back the forum. They will fight back. They won't stand idly by. Or will they? Time will tell.

Your job as pre-vetties is to elect a leader to help you fight Fonz's wolves. Voting will stay open until it is closed (yes, it is going to be that type of game)......

12) If you haven't already done so, try to pick an avatar that is distinctly associated with another SDNer.

Awesome write up SOV! Too funny!

Ok so I didn't think this game was starting until tomorrow but that's ok. I won't be around today because I have to go get my rent house ready for our new tenants. After seeing the house yesterday, I can tell you now that it will take all day. I won't be back until tonight.

That is some funny stuff!! That write up had me in stitches!!!! You think fonz would actually rip my head right off?? Nah, he said he kinda likes me, he said so himself. And really I can't blame the guy, I am rather lovable. :laugh:

I don't think he will. But regardless, there are some that would love to I'm sure and I am way too sweet and innocent (as evidenced by that write-up, and THANKS for airing my dirty laundry all over the place S.O.V!!!

Gotta get on that. And honestly, we know the wolf roles are the lounge peeps (ok so that's an assumption on my par, we don't ACTUALLY know that) and will I am sure they aren't all wolves they freak me out. Sorry peeps, not your fault. You guys are just so scary compared to my safe little pre-vet haven over here where I can cry about a C in O chem!! So Imma say elect Abney because I am awesome and already dead (write-up) so I deserve it.
