My school scanned the wrong letter to ERAS and all the programs I applied to have a letter addressed to a different specialty. What can I do? Is my life over?
Your life is not over. We also had a LOR mishap at my institution. After discussions with ERAS, the way we handled it was that the person at our school who posts the letters withdrew the screwed up letter and posted the correct letter. This will show up to all of the programs and notify them that Letter #2 (for example) has been updated and should be replaced with this letter. I have had no problems since it was handled like this.
