This should be moved to the WAMC sub-forum, but to address the thread: apply to any of the T-25 research schools that you are interested in and add on any state schools/schools you can demonstrate a tangible connection to.

Get rid of any mid/low tiers that don't match the description above and the Texas schools unless you are dying to go to Texas for some reason.

BYU grads (like me:)) do pretty well at getting into Texas schools so if you could see yourself at any of those, keep them on the list! Tuition is so much cheaper and UTSW and Dell (and Baylor) are great schools. I would drop Colorado, they are becoming like Tufts in terms of number of applications and they aren't super OOS friendly. I'd also drop Stryker, MCW, SLU, AZ, Creighton, UVM, UNC. You've got an awesome application and will do great no matter where you apply. Could add NYU and UCSF?
