Does anyone know the criteria schools use when evaluating people for scholarships? I know that most undergrad schools give out scholarships based on performance and financial need, but I'm not sure how the grad school process works.

Hihi!

I dunno how it is elsewhere, but at UMich scholarships (usually 25-50% off tuition) are 100% merit-driven as based upon your GPA and GRE scores. Financial need is not taken into account at all when handing these out. I hope this helps.
