When is the best time to schedule interviews? I scheduled an interview for the place that I really, really want to go to pretty early. Was this a bad move? I feel like they will forget me by the time the ROLs are due. How much will it impact me or does it even matter?

Thanks and good luck to all!

I don't think it matters much. At Iowa, for example, we meet after each interview day and score each applicant. After all three interview days, the final match list is based on the score given. Some fudge factor may be given at the end, but in general, it will not matter if you interviewed first or last.

Good luck!

Iserson book talks about an early and late bias.
I am speaking on hearsay, but I would imagine
that programs would rank applicants the day of
interviews. But, from your perspective, I think
scheduling a later interview at a desirable program
is beneficial because you become more adept
to answering interview questions and to asking
smart questions in return.
