I stumbled across a couple of interesting and related case reports that I thought were worth sharing.
1. Aspergilloma forms in a cavity created by RFA. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23636252
2. RFA used to treat an aspergilloma! http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23636252
This may be a useful alternative to surgery, which has become the mainstay for symptomatic aspergillomas because systemic anti-fungals have, thus far, not been shown to work.
