Hey Guys. I have a question. I currently live in Hawai'i and am thinking of going to UH for school, however, I'm confused as to the definitions of a resident and non-resident. Does being a resident mean living at home while attending, or just being from that state?

Thanks, it will help sort out all the fees... :)'

P.S: Not sure if this is the right sub-forum, Sorry!

Being a resident means that you claim that state as your state of residence, i.e. pay taxes in that state, have a driver's license in that state, are registered to vote in that state, etc. Or, if you are a dependent, that your parent(s) do the above.
