When we were applying to med school there was a book from AMA that listed the number of applicants, the number interviewed, the number accepted, gpa, mcat scores etc. for each school. Is there such a book or site with this kind of data for each residency program? Wouldn't it be useful to know where everyone applies vs. low numbers so you can gauge your chances?

Almost every other day someone posts to ask this. IT DOES NOT EXIST. Tell your friends. Sorry about the bad news.

Hello. Though a publication for general use like the one you mention does not exist for residency programs, your medical school may have kept records of where its previous graduates matched, into what specialty, and their rank-in-class at the time of their graduation. Check with your dean's office.

It may or may not help you, depending on what you hope to extrapolate from it.

Good Luck!

Hi

You can always ask the programs of interest to send you a list of current or past residents, so you can see at least where they graduated at.
