I dont know where to put this but to do research in the field of dermatology, do you have to be a doctor? I have browsed through many universities and seen that usually ppl who do research in derm are doctors. Is it possible to do research on derm with just PhD alone? If so what degree would be needed? I've seen a lot of PhD's conducting biomed science etc but none derm related. I also dont see any postdocs in derm as well. So does that mean only doctors do research in derm?

Not true, I have two PhD-only researchers working at the same derm lab I'm working at. The entire floor is actually mostly PhD-only.

Nope, I don't think you have to be a doctor to do reacharounds in dermatology.
