Hey all. There have recently been several posts asking for people to take part in various medical studies. After discussing this with admin, the official SDN policy is that recruitment for such studies is permitted, provided that the research is IRB approved and that the approval letter is included in the post. Full policy has been posted here: IRB-Approved Surveys and Research.

Any study which is posted to the EM forum should be done in this thread. Posts made as top level individual requests for participants will be moved here. Cross-posting in multiple forums remains prohibited.

EM residents or students interested in EM!

You are invited to participate in this study which includes a brief educational video as well as a quiz to be taken prior to and after completing the video. This is a research project which aims to gauge baseline understanding of foundational knowledge and management strategies for epistaxis in emergency medicine resident physicians. We seek to determine whether our online video is an effective medium for increasing knowledge on these topics. Your answers will be kept confidential and anonymous at the University at Buffalo. Participation is voluntary and you are free to skip questions if desired.

Thank you in advance for your time.
