Yo, I have decided to try to get into med school. When looking over my resume/qualifications I feel that my weakest point is my recommendations. What types of recommendations look the best? Research? Volunteering? Work related? What types of programs might pay off with a good rec? Thanks.

well the fact that most schools require at least 3 LORs from faculty at your school....i would say make sure those are good.

some dont even ask for LORs outside of your professors.
but i guess its always good and usually necessary to have...

2 science professors
1 humanities professor

and for extra....
1 outside letter such as volunteering/research
and maybe an extra prof.

but 5 is a good amount to have. it is safe for most schools outside of the few that let you send in 6.
